Camps and Trips Away
At My Mates Place, we believe everyone deserves the opportunity to enjoy a holiday with friends. Camps and trips provide a change of environment, meaningful community participation and new experiences that help participants grow in confidence and independence.
Our trips have included shorter camps at Second Valley and Belair National Park, as well as a ten-night holiday on Kangaroo Island. Future adventures include plans to explore the Flinders Ranges and the Limestone Coast.
Participants are actively involved in planning activities, making choices, preparing for travel and sharing everyday responsibilities. Spending extended time together strengthens friendships, creates a sense of belonging and builds memories that can last a lifetime.
We understand these opportunities can be rare for some participants. That’s why we carefully plan shared supports and group expenses to keep trips as affordable and NDIS cost-effective as possible, helping more people experience the excitement of having a holiday to look forward to.
