This photo captures a very special trip away with My Mates Place. Hawk’s family invited a group of his friends to join them at the river to celebrate his birthday, and we were more than happy to help make it happen.
It was one of the first times Hawk had celebrated his birthday with such a large group of friends, which made the occasion particularly meaningful. With beautiful weather and a lovely spot on the river, we had everything we needed for a memorable celebration.
Everyone got into the spirit of the day, playing games, singing songs and enjoying time together. Skiing behind the boat and heading out for boat rides were definite highlights, with plenty of excitement and laughter along the way.
A massive thank you goes to Hawk’s parents for welcoming everyone and inviting My Mates Place to help bring the celebration together. Their generosity created an opportunity for Hawk and his friends to share something truly special.
For me, the moment that will stay with me longest is the look on Hawk’s face as he blew out his birthday candles, surrounded by family and friends.
Days like this remind me why I love what I do. A birthday celebration became a chance to strengthen friendships, try new things and share the joy of belonging—and those moments happened naturally through simply being together.
